PROPOSAL FOR sirke, ray speedway and the devils of pace, red oktobris, bowling boy TOUR

2 Latvian and 2 English bands are going to tour Europe this October, here are some details.

Bands are:

SIRKE (Riga, Latvia)
RAY SPEEDWAY AND THE DEVILS OF PACE (Norfolk, England)
BOWLING BOY (Newcastle, England)
SARKANAIS OKTOBRIS (Riga, Latvia)

The tour is organized by John Hedley of TEN PIN PRODUCTIONS. It will be about 3 weeks in total length, beginning on 12th October 1998 in Warsaw, Poland. Story of how this tour came about:

John Hedley from Newcastle, UK underground music scene few years ago made contact with Latvian underground music label TORNIS Rec. and in summer 1997 went to East-Europe on tour with his band BOWLING BOY and friends band RAY SPEEDWAY AND THE DEVILS OF PACE. At all gigs they played together with Latvians SIRKE. These three bands crossed Latvia and Lithuania (BOWLING BOY and RAY SPEEDWAY AND THE DEVILS OF PACE played in Minsk, Belarus too), driving by van, and did 8 performances in different cities. SIRKE, RAY SPEEDWAY AND THE DEVILS OF PACE, BOWLING BOY people at tour 97, Vilnius, Lithuania

Now John Hedley with help from TORNIS Rec. people is organising a tour for SIRKE and RAY SPEEDWAY AND THE DEVILS OF PACE (in few gigs will also play BOWLING BOY and SARKANAIS OKTOBRIS) in UK, West & Central Europe. Planned shedule so far is:

                8.october ------ tour opening concert in Riga, Latvia: SIRKE,
                                            SARKANAIS OKTOBRIS
                9,10.october ------ concerts in Lithuania: SIRKE, SARKANAIS
                                              OKTOBRIS
                12.october ----- SIRKE and SARKANAIS OKTOBRIS in Warsaw, Poland with RAY SPEEDWAY AND THE DEVILS OF PACE
                13.october onwards... travel across West Europe back to UK,
                                                          where concerts possible (aiming for one each day)
